Rooted in Rich Terrain: Cultivated between 1,900–2,200 masl in the fertile hills of Yirgacheffe, this coffee grows in a mild, rain-rich climate ideal for slow cherry development. The Chelchele washing station sources cherries from local smallholder farmers who have cultivated coffee here for generations, relying on it as both a livelihood and a way of life.
Flavor Profile: Expect a lush cup layered with notes of tropical fruit, plum, brown spice, hibiscus, and black tea. Bright acidity, a light body, and a long, sweet finish make this an expressive single origin.
Natural Process: After harvesting, cherries are hand-sorted for ripeness and sun-dried on raised beds for 12–15 days. This natural process allows the fruit's sugars to slowly infuse into the bean, unlocking deep, jammy complexity that clean washed lots simply can't replicate.
